When it comes to financial advisors, Myra has quite the diverse background. Her formal education is in mechanical engineering, having received her BA from the United States Military Academy, West Point. She then proudly served in the US Army as an Air Defense Artillery Officer for 5 years, attaining the rank of Captain.
When Myra transitioned to a role in the financial services industry, she was motivated by the drive to help others and educate them on their financial decisions. She has always strived to live authentically, a lesson her mother taught her at a young age, and found that serving as an independent financial advisor allowed her to do just this — authentically serve her clients in a fiduciary manner. She is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional, a Chartered Financial Consultant® designee, and a Chartered Leadership Fellow® designee. In 2015, she was a scholarship recipient of The American College Penn Mutual Center for Veterans Affairs to complete the Master of Science in Management program. She completed her Masters program in September of 2016. All of these degrees and designations show that Myra is dedicated to further industry knowledge and education.
Myra is both a veteran and military spouse. Her husband, Terry, continues his service in the Texas National Guard. Together they have 2 beautifully unique children that are on the autism spectrum, meaning that they understand and empathize with families that face special needs. Myra is passionate about living a healthy lifestyle - her whole family is plant-based and they enjoy a variety of fitness activities. Myra also loves art and looks for different ways to express creativity both in her work and in her personal life.
